Unlike most of America’s money managers, Check Capital Management gives you a choice of management fees. First is an annual flat fee: 1% of account assets. The alternative is a profit-based fee: 10% of annual profits with a minimum quarterly prepaid fee.
The profit-based fee is available only to “Qualified Clients”. [The Securities and Exchange Commission defines Qualified Clients as a) those whose net worth is at least $2.1 million (exclusive of their equity in their primary residence and net of any debt secured by that residence taken out in the last 60 days except for purchasing the residence), or b) clients who have at least $1 million with the investment manager.]
